Article Discussion: Latino vote grows in numbers, influence at November looms
Adrian Tijerina is 27, married and studying music at Metropolitan State University of Denver in hopes becoming a teacher. He's also well aware of how much influence he and other Latinos — as the largest and fastest-growing ethnic group in the country — could wield at the ballot box this fall. Yet the Aurora man has voted just once since he became eligible to do so, and he t...

at November?!? Wrong preposition. You are trying to express the notion that Hispanics will influence the general election; try: "Latino vote grows, influence looms".

You are simply making this up. Some of my best friends are .....
members of the GOP and I have not found a single one that wishes any citizen not be able to vote based upon race, ethnicity, or religion. Oh, and some of them are even Hispanic.

. . . Republican Secretary of State Gessler and other right leaning anti-Hispanics. . .
Correction to your sentence. If you are going to use "left leaning when describing Dems, use right leaning when describing repubs.

The politicians are courting the Latino vote, but if they had any sense and came up with some good ideas and actually do something for this country it might impress all voters. The public in this country, no matter who is president, should concentrate on getting some people in congress that would get off their duffs and stop fighting across the aisle and get something done. This whole thing is like a kindergarten reality show.

Other than Abortion and a few minor issues (BC being one), The Roman Catholic Church IS socialist.

It is great to see that people are excited to vote. The more people who vote the more control we have over the politicians in Washington. If only we could stop the lobbyist that taint our politicians after they enter office.

I am not saying that 'Latinos' should look to the Republican Party for anything. But they should look at what 70 years of white, liberal policies brought about by the Democratic Party have done to African-Americans. Poverty, prison and moral decay.

You live in a teensy weensy world if you think all Latinos are going to vote Dem, or is it you think they're too dumb to make their own choices?
It seems Latinos would resent being talked down to by Obama.

The right has invested a fortune criticizing the left for blaming the right, though you cannot hide from the facts.
Standard definition,
"the GNP measures the value of goods and services that the country's citizens produced regardless of their location. GNP is one measure of the economic condition of a country, under the assumption that a higher GNP leads to a higher quality of living, all other things being equal."
The GNP is increasing at more or less its normal rate, a little sharper upturn than usual in 2010, no figure yet for 2011, after a downturn in 2009, which had absolutely nothing to do with Obama, was of course all Bush, his wars, and his failure to attend to the mortgage scandal, too busy trying to scare us.

Unemployment is up, because more businesses are outsourcing. That is something that could be fixed through legislation. Romney is more likely to bow to corporate pressure than Obama, which means he isn't about to penalize business for such outsourcing.

Re: Article Discussion: Latino vote grows in numbers, influence
Yet the Aurora man has voted just once since he became eligible to do so, and he thinks he'll sit out the Nov. 6 election as well.
"It's such a tossup," said Tijerina, who voted for Barack Obama four years ago but this year doesn't feel strong enough about either the Democratic president or Republican Mitt Romney.
I have talked with many of my Latino friends/acquaintances at many associations and club functions that I attend regurlarly and find many, of the same mindset as Tijerina. They are truely disappointed in obama and his dismal failure to do anything regarding the high unemployment in the hispanic community. The true dilema for many of them, is they have been lifelong democrats, and realize way down deep obama has not been good for them, but can't really bring themselves to support Romney. They fully understand obama and the DNC have pandered to them through the "dream act" and made several million illegal alien kids eligable to work, in already depressed latino employment. I'm hearing many of them state they will "stay at home on November 6".

When I was young black people couldn't eat in our eating establishments, they had their own water fountains and where I lived they could not swim in our public swimming pool and they had their own elementary schools. They also could not live in white neighborhoods. They were treated worse than second class citizens. Over the last 50 years black people have had to take jobs at the bottom of the pay scale and that has affected their lifestyles and educations. I blame white business owners more than I blame politicians. I believe that politicians have created programs to help these people who live in poverty so they have food, clothing and shelter. Welfare is a humanitarian effort to make sure people have basic needs. Before we degrade others we should all have to walk in their shoes.

So instead, Obama is standing behind millions of illegal aliens, over the best interest of Americans. Wake up, he's like the stray cat that only wants your food (vote).
